Product: HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec0017ng
I have a question about the administrator password in the BIOS, I know my current password that is there, but can I reset it later? I haven’t started the procedure yet, but I don’t want the password to remain there forever. My laptop is HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec0017ng

The BIOS password WILL remain there forever because it is embedded into the firmware of the motherboard. You can change it, but as far as I know, you can not remove it.
You need to make a record of it because if you forget it, there is no way it can be recovered or reset.
