Dear HP Customer Support,

I am writing to request assistance with resetting the BIOS administrator password on my HP EliteBook 820 G1 laptop. I have forgotten the password and am unable to access the BIOS settings. I have attempted to reset the password using the CMOS battery removal method, but it has not been successful.

I have read that resetting the BIOS password on this model may require replacing the systemboard or the BIOS CMOS chip. I would appreciate it if you could advise me on the best course of action to resolve this issue. I am willing to have the laptop serviced by an authorized HP service provider if necessary.

Please provide me with detailed instructions on how to proceed, including any estimated costs and warranty considerations. I would also appreciate it if you could provide me with a contact number for a technical representative who can assist me further with this issue.
