It's not because your notebook's warranty has expired.
It is because you are running W11 on your notebook and the HP support assistant is looking for updated Windows 11 drivers.
There is no W11 BIOS update, but there is a W10 BIOS update on your notebook's support page under the BIOS section.
F.27
HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 Software and Driver Details
I can't tell you if the BIOS update will run fine or not on W11.
I have personally updated W10 BIOS files on W11 with no problem, but that has been on different model HP notebook and desktop PC's.
So, you will have to decide what you want to do regarding updating the BIOS if your notebook doesn't have F.27 installed already.
