bought a 2nd hp and reset it but now im asked to install an operating system on my hard drive

HP Recommended
hp -14- ax040wm

i recently bought another laptop from a friend and i went to hard faCTORY  reset and then this bios page came up and now im stuck on a black page saying... Boot device not found, Please install an operating system on your device, Hard Disk (3F0), F2 System Diagnostics, 

 

Can someone point me in the right direction?

First thing is to click F2 when that screen comes up.  Then report back with the results.  If the hard drive passes the Diagnostics, then you might need to reinstall Windows 10.  The support page suggests you can use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool

If you need the install media for Windows 10, you can make it from this Microsoft download

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

With a working PC, scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media"
and then follow the directions. You can make the USB.
