can't reach a *person* to find out why laptop repair case was closed (tracking # shows delivered)

Can anyone provide me with a real live, functioning phone number through which I can reach a real live person who handles support cases? My laptop was not booting, and I opened a Case on Feb 28. HP sent packaging and I mailed laptop on March 6. Had heard nothing so checked Repair Center. Dashboard said Case is Closed without having done any repairs, but tracking number in Case shows the laptop was delivered on March 10. Tried Contact link from within Case, cursor spun forever (on two browsers and one mobile device, over multiple days.) Tried Contact link from outside Case, had to enter serial number, got sent back to Dashboard. Tried Virtual Agent, got sent to Repair Center. Round and round I go. In tears. Searched internet for HP support phone number, tried one, not in service. Otherwise got sent to HP Contact page, where there is no phone number. MADDENING. And I'm even in warranty! Hate to see what kind of service you get otherwise. Thanks to anyone who can help!!!
