Product: presario cq50

When i turn it on i get a clicking sound out of the left spearker.   It hasn't have a operating system on it yet.  This was giving to me about a year ago and it work find. I took it out of storage  and put a hard drive back in it and turn it on and got a clicking sound. I even took the hard drive out and it did the same thing. I can't figure it out. If i take the top cover off and turn it on i don't get the clicking and after i put the cover back on and put all the scerws back in i get the clicking back. I hope someone can help.
