Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi.

From 2 days when I power on the laptop of my son the pc hp said "enter administrator password or power on password". After 3 times system disabled [i  94096704] .

So I open my pc and removed cmos battery for 30 minutes.

But when i restart the pc bios restored and same message: enter administrator password or power on password.

I don't know why, if the cause is an update or other but the pc don't work.

Please help me.

Thanks in advance

@tenxx

Unlike with desktops, removing the CMOS battery in laptops does nothing to reset the passwords.

I wish we could help you, but sorry, due to recent changes in Community policy, we are no longer able to provide any assistance with password reset or recovery issues.

Also please note that now, to resolve a forgotten BIOS password issue, a system board replacement is required -- and additional customer costs apply.

According to the Community's Rules of Participation (which you can read from here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/hp.rulespage😞

4d. No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.

For assistance NOW, you have to contact your regional HP Customer Support location directly as they will confirm ownership of the PC before providing any assistance -- something we are not able to do from here.

Thanks.

But I have a laptop hp about 3 years old that don't work.

I have not forgot the password because I have never edit a bios password on laptop.

I have never see this message so I think that an update is responsible but i don't know.

Thank you for the response but I have not solved my problem.

Bye.

WE can not help you with your problem from here.  As I said, password assistance is now against Community policy.

IF you want HP assistance, you have to follow what I said in my original reply about contacting HP.
