i have forgoten my administrator password for bios probook 6460b model. if anyone out there can help me with that or provide smc.bin file please?

smc files are machine specific.
You will need to Contact HP Business support as no other source will be able to customise and sign the reset file you require.

yes i contacted the team but they asked for the purchase documents of laptop which i bought two years ago and i have lost that so now this means i am screwed. i can login to my probook through user account but i need to login as administrator to update bios to latest version

Download these files.
Insert clean USB flash drive.
Then run USB Image tool.
Choose the flash drive then click on RESTORE.
After restore remove flash drive.
Insert flash drive into locked laptop and boot. ”If HDD is installed remove before booting.”
At C:\OUTPUT type CD.. “Then hit enter”
Type HPBR “Then hit enter”
First thing is to save your settings.
Select #3 re-program.
Press “S” to save system information.
Type HPBR and hit enter.
Select “FIRST RUN”
Then select model.
After reboot repeat same as above but this time SELECT “SECOND RUN”
Some instructions here. “If you cannot boot from USB there are instructions to make a bootable HDD.”
