laptop will not boot to windows

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP 15-db0051od laptop that is stuck in a boot cycle.  It boots to a black screen with the HP logo then displays a message under the HP logo: Preparing Automatic Repair.  It hangs there for about 10 seconds, then the message changes to: Please wait while we install a system update.  That message hangs there for about 10 seconds also, then the screen goes blank then comes back on to the black screen with the HP logo and auto repair message.  This process keeps repeating as it is in a loop function.
