Someone should have told you that ALL drives fail -- eventually -- and shown you how to do backups so you don't lose your files when this happens. I back up all the PCs I support for my extended family every week -- just because of this.
The Cloud Recovery tool will completely replace the entire Windows installation on the PC, and that will prevent you from getting to the files you need to retrieve -- so it's best you did NOT use it.
All you will be able to recover at best from the drive is personal data. You will not be able to recover settings, website information (including user accounts and passwords) or applications.
You will also need another drive large enough to hold the files and folders you want to recover because you can't recover them to the old drive.
The problem is every time you use the computer, it writes files to the drives and over time, it will overwrite ALL these files, since they are now marked as free space. So, even with good software, file recovery is not guaranteed.
You will also need to remove the drive and connect it to a working PC -- to stop Windows from overwriting the file space.
You will have to BUY file recovery software, as there are no Free versions that are any good. The best tool out there is this one, but only the demo version is free:

Good Luck
