Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

hey guys, Have HP windows 8.1 (64-bit)Laptop that will not boot back up all the way. Went to f2 did hard drive test and test came back hard drive failed.  Product name is K7W77UA#ABA  Dont know if you can repair hard drives? seen youtubes where thats been done. If there are other things to check or test that might boot the unit up all the way the info would be helpful. I can buy a new hard drive but I would need a disk  so I can reinstall windows 8.1 and I don't know where I can buy the disk. any and all help would be great. thanks

Hi:

 

You can reinstall W8.1 for free by downloading the plain W8.1 64 bit ISO file from the link below.

 

Download Windows 8.1 Disc Image (ISO File) (microsoft.com)

 

Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable.

 

After W8.1 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
