There is no such thing as a "normal" supply board -- as laptop chargers come in many different sizes, styles, and power ratings. 

 

Your laptop will only charge up to a limited rating so, for example, if it requires a 45watt charger and you connect a 65 watt charger, it will not charge faster, nor will it charge the battery to a higher level.

 

If a new charger does better than an older charger, this indicates the older charger is failing.
