HP ENVY Laptop - 17-cg0019dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have struggled with this laptop since I had it. Probably 3 to 4 weeks.  It spins when trying to open a app on the computer as well as the internet.  It just doesn't respond.  I have to restart it to get it to stop.  I have tested everything with no errors at all. Thought maybe the hard drive was bad but it happens online as well.  I  restored it to the original setup but it continues to do it. I wish I could return it and get my money back.  Help please???

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

Run an Extensive system test to check for hardware failures.

1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.

4. Click Extensive Test.

5. Click Run once, or Loop until error. While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component are shown on the screen.
