HP 15-ef2127wm

I have an HP 15-ef2127wm. Last night I accidentally got a jolt from the charger, part of the outer layer of the wire was peeled off. I am okay and I fixed it immediately. The part that was peeled off was close to the transformer, not to the laptop.

This happened while my laptop was plugged. After the incident I used it for about two hours and a half with no issues, then went to sleep. I had left it with little battery so today I put it to charge before using it, but when I tried to turn it on later, it didn't. I have tried turning it on both plugged and unplugged, same always happens: the power light blinks white three times, then stops. When I connect the charger there is no orange light as usual. Could it be damaged from what happened last night? Is there any other possibility, anything I can do?
