HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15m-bp1xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ever since I had purchased my HP ENVY x360, I have received this error:  "Please connect a higher capacity Smart AC Adapter." .

I am using the original adapter that came with the laptop.  I have read several other support threads about people having similar issues.  How do I go about getting a replacement adapter or is there an update that I need to make to make this message go away?

Thanks,

Tony

Run a test on AC Power Adapter.

Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00363266 for  Using and Testing the AC Power Adapter.

Get back to us with the results, also, if the device is not covered by warranty, he can purchase the replacement adapter from the HP parts store

You could purchase the part from HP, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

And order it via the HP Parts store: https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/CountryChoice.aspx?mscssid=&ccode=ZZ&lcode=ZZ

Keep me posted, how it goes!

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thank you for joining the HP Community.

Have a great day!
