my sister somehow bought me a new laptop - 14-am125tx
did this model has m2 slot for ssd upgrade?

YES !! It has Solid-state drive, M.2 Slot.

so I can just open it up and put the ssd there by myself, or should I bring to the service center?

Hello @kondrow,

 

 

You should be able to do it yourself.

 

However open the Guide from my previous post and see Page 46 Chapter 6 Removal and replacement procedures 

 

 

Please read it first and see if you could do it yourself, In case you find it difficult please take it to any HP authorised Service centers nearby and get it done or to any local computer repairs can also help you.
