Product: HP255 Notebook G6
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Suddenly my battery life has gone from 3 hours or thereabouts to 15 minutes. It jumps from around 70% to zero and closes without any warning. The laptop is not that old so I have no idea why this is happening.

I would appreciate any ideas or do I have to buy a new battery.?

I bought this laptop because of long battery life and I feel cheated

You need to run a test on the battery. How old is "not that old". Seriously. Replacing a laptop battery is just part of owning a laptop.
