15t-dy100 CTO not showing the SSD unable to install windows 10 or 11 with 10 gen processor

Tried all methods

reset bios x 3

downloaded and tried all links in the forums that i have located.

attempted multiple iterations with different drivers still no success

so i need some one who has a a specific driver

or advice  is that i should attempt to install on win10 20h2 for the drivers to work and note i cant locate the device by cloud recovery by Serial and or product number so which unit is similiar in spec that i could use in recocvery tool.

Hi:

You should make a new bootable W10 installation flash drive with the media creation tool, so you have the latest version which is 22H2.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

I can only find 3 different 15t-dy100 CTO product numbers in the HP part surfer website.

HP PartSurfer

All three of those product numbers are supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

You have to include the #ABA after each of the main product numbers, but you need to know which one of those product numbers are for your notebok.

You can normally find that information in the BIOS's system information window.

For example: 7BJ12AV#ABA

Other than that, the only other suggestion I can offer would be to try the drivers that I zipped up and attached below, because neither W10 nor W11 should be needing storage controller drivers to see the hard drive/NVMe SSD, etc., on a PC with an Intel 10th generation or older core processor.

Copy the 5 files from the F6/VMD/f6vmdflpy-x64 folder to a USB flash drive.

iastorvd.cat

iastorvd.inf

iastorvd.sys

rstmweventlogmsg.dll

rstmwservice.exe

Have the flash drive and your W11 installation media plugged into USB ports.

Boot from the W11 installation flash drive.

When you get to the screen where no drives can be found, click on the Load driver option, browse to the flash drive with the storage controller drivers on it.

If you check the box, it will only include the compatible driver.

Click Next, and hopefully Windows will find the drive and install.
