Hello,

Is it possible to install a 2.5" SATA SSD on the HP 14S-DQ2960ND ? It comes with a 500GB NVMe SSD already but I have plenty of spare SSD sata disks and was wondering if I could use any of them

Thanks in advance

Hi:

Chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide indicates that only M.2 SSD's are supported.

HP Laptop PC 14-d2000 (2D127AV) Manuals | HP® Customer Support

Chapter 3 shows no list of parts to add a 2.5" drive and chapter 5 has no procedure to remove or replace a 2.5" drive.

If you need more drive space, you will need to remove the existing SSD and install one having a greater storage capacity.
