HP Spectre X360 ap0013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I recently bought an HP Spectre x360 ap0013dx from an HP authorized refurbisher. It's worked well for at least a month and a half, besides some random warping on the case, but quite randomly, today, the 2, W, S, and X keys on the keyboard are not working properly.

Anytime I close up my computer for more than a few minutes, they don't respond. I have to either press them all at once or press them each individually, very hardly, in order to make them start working again. The more I type, the more functional they become.

If this were a 2 year old, or maybe even a 1 year old laptop, I wouldn't be as worried as I am now. I've tried solutions from uninstalling the driver/reinstalling it to troubleshooters, which unfortunately leaves me with the possibility that it's a keyboard issue. Before I spend more money to replace the keyboard (as my 30-day warranty literally just expired), does anyone have any other software solutions, or easy hardware solutions that don't require tearing the computer apart/paying a professional? Also why is this happening to my keyboard? And will this issue get worse?

-Thanks for your help,

Novology

@Novology Welcome to HP Community!

As you have stated that you have performed the troubleshooting steps.

It looks like a hardware issue, I recommend you contact HP phone support to check the available service options for the computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
