I have two probooks 450 g4. I upgraded the the memory in one of them buying a pair 8gb. Now I have a spare 8gb stick that I would like to put in my second machine. The problem is that the this one comes with a 4gb stick. The sticks are same brand, speed and cl. Is there any problem with having two memory sticks different size?
Thanks in advance,

No, you can have 8Gb + 4Gb (actually many laptops have this option) as long as they have same specs. One thing you may miss: dual channel because dual channel normally works with same size, same everything even same brand.
