I have an HP elitebook 640 g9 which supports PD on type-c now I want to buy a powerbank but all I can see on the stores are 20volts output which is a bit higher. Can I use these powerbanks? I saw some articles which says that a 5% voltage margin on modern laptops are fine but I also saw some comments saying this can harm the laptop.

Hi,
Yes, that should be fine. I believe that even the HP USB-C chargers use 20V when charging your notebook via USB-C.
So, no problem.
Hope it helps,
David
