My recommendation is that you make every effort to buy a genuine HP power adapter.
Here is the link to the parts list for your notebook.

The power adapter and power cord that goes from the wall socket to the adapter are sold separately when you buy new from HP.
What I recommend you do is to do a search on eBay by the HP power adapter part number and buy a genuine used but tested and working power adapter. Those usually also come with the power cord.
