Hi,
So I want to enable and activate this feature in my BIOS, but when I enable it and check if it is, it just says; enabled/unactivated.
How do I activate this feature? Also, I've tried the below steps from another ticket, but still, the status is enabled / not activated.
I recommend you follow the below steps.
- Start or restart the computer.
- Press F10 to enter HP Computer Setup (F10 setup).
- Select Configuration.
- Change the status to Enabled or Disabled as desired.
- Save the change and Exit.
Determine if protective measures have been activated:
- Start or restart the computer.
- Immediately press Esc to access the startup menu.
- Press F2 to start HP PC Diagnostics UEFI.
- Select Power > Battery.
- Select Run Once.
- Once the test completes, select Battery Details.
- Check the Adaptive Battery Optimizer status. Three possible statuses are:
Enabled/Not Activated: the feature is ON, but no protective measures are active.
Enabled/Activated: the feature is ON, and protective measures are active due to battery temperature, battery charging status, or usage patterns.
- Disabled/Not Activated: the feature is OFF, and no protective measures are active.
