Hello, HP! i own a Victus 16 r-0052tx, the Adaptive Battery Optimizer is activated by now, so it's actually a sign of unusual battery usage right? that the system had to prevent any damage further. So my question is, can it turn to not activated someday? which in other meaning is "healed"?

Hi @yumna88,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
The Adaptive Battery Optimizer in your Victus 16 r-0052tx is designed to protect the battery from unusual usage patterns that could potentially shorten its lifespan. When it activates, it indicates that the system has detected conditions that could be harmful to the battery, such as high temperatures, overcharging, or frequent deep discharges.
Yes, it is possible for the Adaptive Battery Optimizer to deactivate or stop intervening if the battery usage conditions return to normal. Here are a few tips to help ensure that the optimizer can deactivate:
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Ensure your laptop is used and stored in a moderate temperature range, avoiding both excessive heat and cold.
- Avoid Overcharging: If your laptop is constantly plugged in, consider using the optimizer's settings to limit the maximum charge to around 80-90% instead of 100%.
- Balanced Usage: Try to maintain a balanced charging cycle, avoiding letting the battery fully discharge frequently.
- Keep the System Updated: Ensure your laptop's BIOS and firmware are up to date, as updates can improve battery management.
If the system detects that these conditions have stabilized over time, the Adaptive Battery Optimizer may deactivate, allowing your battery to charge and discharge more freely. If the optimizer remains active despite normal usage, it could be worth checking for any underlying issues with the battery or the system.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
