HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC 14-dy0000 (300N1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi folks. We've started to use our HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC 14-dy0000 as our main computer, but I think we should probably upgrade the memory from 4GB.

The Maintenance and Service Guide I was directed form the serial number to says Two SODIMM slots, non-accessible/non-upgradeable, but also says it can support up to 16GB in various configurations.

If I get another 4GB or 8GB, am I going to be able to (easily) install it?

Many thanks in advance

Hi:

If your notebook has an Intel Core processor, it has two memory slots and can support 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.

The 'Not customer-accessible' statement means that HP wants any work done inside to the notebook to be performed by an authorized service center.

If you have the KSA (knowledge, skills and ability) to do the upgrade yourself without breaking anything in the process (which would void the warranty, if applicable), chapter 5 has the memory removal and replacement procedure.

You may as well max out the memory, so you only have to do the job once.

This should be a compatible 2 x 8 GB memory kit for your notebook:

Hi Paul - thanks for the confirmation. I've upgraded memory in desktop PCs before, so I'm reasonably confident.
