Hi guys,
Im interested in purchasing a HP Pavilion Notebook 17-ab200ni. This notebook comes with a 2TB internal SATA drive. I want to add a 128Gb SSB (form factor 2) drive, similar to what the OMEN comes with as standard. Does the Pavilion 17 support SSD drives to be added?
Thanks,
J

You can put M.2 2280 SSD (PCIe NVMe or SATA-3 TLC) in its slot. Make it boot drive and use HDD as storage drive.

Thanks all,
I had a look at the manual you guys sent me and it seems that the device does support SSD. I was a bit worried that it may not have a slot for the SSD and that I would have had to replace the original 2TB drive with a SSD 3.5'' M1 drive, but it seems that I can in fact have two drives installed at the same time. One SSD for boot and the original 2TB for storage.
@REO51ST, nope, the one I am looking to purchase is non-touch.
Thanks for the support.
Regards,
J

Guys,
I just want to confirm. The two manual links you sent me respectively, they are definitly for this particular model?
HP Pavilion - 17-ab200ni
Product Code: 1DM41EA
There are a number of Pavilion 17 models available, so I just want to confirm that the manual actuallty applies to this particular model?
Thanks,
J
