BRAND NEW HP Envy Laptop 13-ad173cl, did BIOS update using download from HP Support Site for Ver F.22 Rev A, dated Mar 8, 2018, and contained in download sp85574.exe. Update apparently did the update to BIOS. Sign on screen appeared,, I input my Passcode and the following message appears: "Something went wrong (code: 0x8009002d). Restart your device to see if that fixes the problem." I do MULTIPLE Resets ... and I continue to receive this message.
HP Support ... what's happpend, and how do I correct?

Well I'll be a munkey's uncle!!!
That WORKED!
Wish I'd know this "fix" before returning the first Envy 13 I had this problem with to Costco. The machine, which is not working just fine, is my second.
Additionall HP Support, via Chat, had NO IDEA about this fix when I contacted them about the first machine.
Thank you ichi, thank you, thank you!

Hi,
If you are using PIN and happen to update the BIOS most likely it will require you to type in the original password to get pass the sign in page.
This is more likely a PIN issue. So use the original password istead.

ichi
