Hello everyone,

recently, I've been experiencing a loud and annoying fan noise from my HP ENVY DV6 laptop, here's how it sounded like at first:

I like fixing things myself, although I don't have much technical experience, but I'm very careful and try my best not to break anything, so, I followed exactly the steps mentioned in this video to disassemble my laptop and clean it's fan from dust and replace its thermal paste:

I did not find much dust in the fan's ventilation area, so I really did not know the cause of this noise, but I've still done what I could to clean it up and add new thermal paste to see the result.

The result was very disappointing. Now, the fan produces a louder noise, this time it's non-stop, and the laptop's slightly shaking from this noise, here's how it sounds like now:

Can someone please tell me what I could've done wrong, and how to fix it? Is the fan dying? Is it broken? I've owned this laptop since 2015, could it be that the fan's lifespan has ended?
