Hi, I bought the HP S1000 Silent Mouse, but the cursor keeps getting stuck when I use it. Can you tell me how to claim the warranty?

Hi @rowheatz,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the cursor is getting stuck when using your HP S1000 Silent Mouse, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Surface: Ensure the surface you are using the mouse on is appropriate. Reflective or glossy surfaces can interfere with the optical sensor. Try using a mouse pad or different surface to see if the issue persists.

Clean the Mouse: Dust or debris on the optical sensor can cause tracking issues. Gently clean the sensor on the underside of the mouse with a soft, dry cloth.

Replace Batteries: If your mouse is wireless, low battery power can cause performance issues. Try replacing the batteries with new ones.

USB Port and Connection: If it is a USB mouse, make sure the USB connector is firmly plugged into the USB port. You might also try a different USB port to rule out issues with the connection.

Driver Update: Ensure that you have the correct driver installed for the HP S1000 Silent Mouse. Go to the HP support website to download and install the latest drivers if necessary.

Test on Another Device: Connect the mouse to a different computer to see if the issue is with the mouse itself or the original computer.

Interference: For wireless mice, ensure there are no wireless interference issues. Make sure other wireless devices are not too close to the mouse or receiver, which can cause interference.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a blissful day 😇.
