Hello.
I am the owner of a Nepalese hp pavilion dv4-1543sb entertainment notebook pc.

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Product Name: HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC
Version: 039B140000241210100020000
[personal information removed]
UUID: bd74211f-dab9-11de-b67f-002622b55c03
Wake-up Type: Power Switch
SKU Number: VM169UA#ABA
Family: 103C_5335KV

Officially, this laptop no longer supports hp, so there is no way to download drivers and firmware.

1. Where can I find BIOS firmware for this technique?

BIOS Information
Vendor: Hewlett-Packard
Version: F.55
Release Date: 10/06/2009
ROM Size: 1 MB
Characteristics:
PCI is supported
BIOS is upgradeable
...

As you can see from the information, the BIOS can be upgrated.
I am interested in BIOS support for hardware virtualization function.

2. Is there such a thing in other, besides the standard, BIOS firmware?

Actually, the question of flashing / updating arose because of the following situation.
On the installed linux fedora 34 OS, Oracle VM VirtualBox is installed, to create a 64-bit virtual OS it is necessary to support the hardware virtualization function.

3. How is the BIOS flashing process going? What BIOS firmware might be suitable for my purposes?

Hi:

There is a much newer BIOS than that one available and it would have all of the previous fixes and enhancement provided by the previous versions.

Info:

F.67

Exe:

You can only update the BIOS in Windows Vista or Windows 7.
