@Naresh_h3, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding battery issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
When you start up your HP computer, it performs a battery check. If it detects that the storage capacity of the internal (primary) battery is significantly reduced, it may result in a 601 error message. This typically indicates that the storage capacity of your primary internal battery is less than 25% of its original capacity. The error code "601" is recorded in the system log.
Several factors may cause this error, such as the aging of the battery or low ambient operating temperatures. If you encounter the 601 error, try using your computer in a warmer environment to see if the issue resolves itself.
Resolving the Battery Alert Message
To resolve this issue, you should:
Update the BIOS: Ensure that your BIOS is up-to-date by downloading and installing the latest version from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page. Be careful to choose the correct BIOS update for your specific computer model.
Perform a Battery Test: Use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI to check the battery's condition. Make sure, if possible, your battery is fully charged before running the test.
These steps can assist in diagnosing whether your battery truly needs to be replaced or if the error was a result of temporary conditions.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
