Is it bad to keep a fully charged laptop plugged in?

Should I fully exhaust the battery after a 100 % charge before charging it again?

@JR_1994 HP ships Smart Adapters with all laptops, the reason it's called smart is because it stops charging the battery once it reaches 100%, so you have nothing to worry about, you can continue using the device connected to the wall outlet at all times, the only negative part is the fact that the laptop would become stationary and no longer be portable as it was designed to be! 😉

What is battery calibration then and is it useful ?

HP Recommended

@JR_1994 Calibrating the battery resets the battery gauge to accurately display the charge level in Windows, and when the display is incorrect, then, yes, it's useful.

I hope that answers your query,

I would recommend using the laptop without power until it is nearly empty, then charge.

Over the time, no matter how smart the charger is, keeping the battery on full charge will cause issues, they are designed to be discharged, and not trickle charged 90-100 percent.
