Good day! 

I am using an HP Pavilion x360 Convertible. I have the following errors
 
1. Camera error - Camera only shows black screen although the system detects the camera and on diagnostics show that its working properly. Already did the usual troubleshooting and eventually reformatted my laptop only to find camera problem persisting. Unable to use any camera app using the built-in webcam (HP wide vision HD camera). Webcam light is on as can be seen in the pic. 20200521_114145.jpg

 

 
2. Battery problem - battery from around 40-50% drains directly to 10%. Did a battery diagnostic. Shows the error:
battery check : primary - very weak
Failure ID: GG93PF-9AKA4E-GXGKG1-C08P03
 
3. HP pen sometimes work sometimes won't work. Batteries and pen tip changed still the same
 
Im thinking if this is due to hardware problems. Any advise? Bought this less than 1 year.

I understand that you are facing multiple issues with laptop.

 

Please perform the below steps and check.

 

Hard Reset:

1) Shutdown the computer.  

2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.  

3) Remove the Battery. ( not for Built-in Battery computer ) 

4) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.  

5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer if it's a (removable battery)

6) Try to turn on the computer and check, If the issue persists continue next step

 

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

 

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

 

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant. 
  2. Check for updates. 
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.  

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

 

According to the failure code, the issue with the battery. The part has to be replaced.
