The "HP Support Assistant" says the battery needs replaced:
I ran several diagnostic tests available through HP Support, both the "fast" and the "extended" scans, and the battery/power status came back as "Passed" on both tests. 😵 😧 😫
So, is the battery bad or not?!?
The light where the adapter/cord plugs in IS flashing red, so I assume there's an issue somewhere.
One of the HP Support pages I found provided a parts list, but it only listed power cords. That made me wonder if it's just the cord. Another time, I did have batteries come up, but how do I know which one I need?
It is just over 2 years old and just over 1 year out of warranty (October). I don't use it a ton because I have a laptop from my job. However, some sites are blocked for security purposes so I do have to use my personal laptop for that, but it's not a lot.
If you choose to respond, please "dumb down" the tech-speak so I understand what you're explaining.
Thanks!
