Hello

I have a problem with my notebook. The battery indicator, and the small led near the charger plug, they keep flipping between charging and not charging. As if the battery was fully charged at one second, and then it wasn't anymore. I believe it is not a problem with the plug or with the charger, because, when the computer is unplugged, the plug led goes off. In this case, the problem is that it flips between red (which usually menas charging) and white (which usually means fully charged).

Associated to this problem, when the computer is unplugged, the battery quicky runs out after the indicator goes below 30%, more or less. And, finally, on ocasion I have observed the indicator showing the charge to go up with the computer unplugged. Not for a large margin, it would, for example, go from 31% to 32% and after a minute go back to 31%

Thanks in advance for any help

How old is the battery and have you run a diagnostic test on it? Odds are the laptop needs a new battery but let's make an effort to rule out other remotely possible problems.

Hello

The battery is a little less than 3 years old. A thing that I did not mention before is that I bought the computer in Germany, and then moved to Brazil. I don't believe it is important because I moved more than 2 years ago, and the problems started about two weeks ago.

About the diagnostic test, I did not do it. I do not know how to do it.

Post the full advanced results. 3 year old battery is very likely to need replacement.
