Common problems for Battery

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My notebook is newly new, after 4 days, I observed that the battery is NOT charging during ON state. But, it is charging when I turned it OFF.

 

Already used the HP Support Assistant, it says the battery is GOOD and it needs to replace the power adapter.

But, I haven't tried the other option stated in the INTERNET to open the notebook and remove the battery as this is really new.

 

Any advice? Thanks.

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?

We tried all the possible solutions as below but, it doesn't work.

1. Update Windows patches

2. Pressing POWER button and mute key simultaneously

3. Pressing POWER button, Windows key  and letter B simultaneously

 

The power adapter is the problem based on findings of HP Support Assistance.

 

Already sent it to HP Service Center.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. this sounds like hardware related issue with the battery and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.
