Hi, I'm a newby in need of a replacemment battery for my HP Pavilion Notebook. Sourced it on a couple of websites but they don't ship to Northern Ireland. Is it safe to go Amazon? Thank you for any help you can offer.

Yes.
Amazon.co.uk or.com is a great resource for the replacement battery.
Your purchase is safe with Amazon.
Amazon guarantees that you get what you ordered and have the best in industry return or refund policy.

My own experience with Amazon, when I lived in Europe, is that when I am signed on I am shown items that can be shipped to my address and those that cannot.
That is something that neither you nor I can change.
Here is a web page from Amazon that explains the delicate political situation you unfortunately find yourself in. Brexit definitely had effects on trade.

Surely there are other batteries with the specification that you desire which can be shipped to the UK.
You can also use eBay.co.uk and you might find it simpler to find what you need. You can select items that are regional to you in eBay whereas in Amazon that is not the case.

Thanks Erico,
I may have found a solution with a reputable supplier. My order was accepted and, though it is taking somewhat more time than in pre-Brexit times, should reach me in the coming week.
I very much appreciate the time you took with this latest response. It has been helpful and I shall indeed follow up your Amazon link.
Best wishes,
