My battery is not charging. I bought a new battery about a year ago and have not use my laptop much since, until recently. I did a component tests. The adapter passed. However when I did the component test on the battery on I got this failure code: Q8FC5T-AK7C5A-MFPX7F-C0FTO3  (not sure is the 0's are zeros or letters)

Can someone help??

I'd be happy to help you! 

 

This failure code indicates a Hardware issue. Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.

 

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
