Battery not charging (currently at 0%) when laptop plugged in

HP ENVY Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello,

When my laptop is plugged in, the battery does not charge. The battery has 0% power. This just happened a few days ago. My laptop is barely a year old and I rarely unplug my laptop, so this is weird. How do I solve this problem?

- I made sure the power socket is fully pushed into the machine with no silver showing.
- I tried the HP Battery Validity program which said there is no problem.
- I tried following the restart process by powering up and then repeatedly pressing F2 to follow the instructions, but that doesn't work when the battery is at 0%.

Is there a solution? Thanks.

Here is my laptop info:

Thanks for your response. However, the battery in my Envy notebook is built in. Therefore, I cannot follow step #6 in your procedure specified in your instructions:

Step 06. Please remove the Battery and unplug the Power Adapter

So, what should I do?

Thanks. I followed your instructions but nothing happened. As previously mentioned, I cannot follow the additional three steps as the computer won't respond to F2 when following the battery check in HP Support Assistant.

Therefore, no solution was provided and the problem remains.
