Hello,
I replaced my laptop battery just today. The laptop for some reason claims not to detect the battery and does not show the power level for it. The HP battery test says the same thing, that it simply isn't there. The computer can run without being connected to AC power, so it is drawing power from the battery clearly, however it cannot boot on battery and the light near the AC adapter flashes three times whenever I attempt to boot it on battery power, it only boots up when plugged in. I have tried all the things I saw online, such as power troubleshooter, hard reset, resetting BIOS settings, reinstalling drivers (they are updated), unplugging the battery and plugging it back in, cleaning the connections. No matter what I do, the computer just pretends there is no battery. Any ideas?
- Thanks, Franklin
