Hi @Gaurav907,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating that your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop isn't charging properly under heavy load, and no engineer has responded yet. In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to address the issue.
Check for Overheating:
- High temperatures during heavy tasks can prevent the battery from charging properly. Ensure that your laptop has proper ventilation, and try using a cooling pad to help with airflow.
Use the Original Charger:
- Make sure you're using the original charger provided with your laptop. Third-party or underpowered chargers may not deliver enough power for both charging and running heavy applications simultaneously.
Battery and Power Settings:
- Adjust your power settings by selecting a balanced or power-saving mode during intense tasks. This reduces the power consumption and could help the charging process.
BIOS and Driver Updates:
- Ensure your BIOS and battery drivers are up to date. You can check the HP Support website for the latest updates for your device.
Try Charging with the Laptop Off:
- Test if your laptop charges properly when turned off or in sleep mode. If it does, the issue may be related to power draw during high-load activities.
Run HP Diagnostics:
- Run the HP Hardware Diagnostics tool to check for any battery or power-related issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
