Battery won’t charge for more than 15%

My HP laptop of 12 months all of a sudden won’t charge for more than 15%. I tried the diagnostics and it said Battery has issues and needs to be replaced. Laptop is out of warranty. Does battery have factory warranty? What are my options?

Battery warranty is the same as the laptop warranty. One year is a bit soon to need to replace the battery but it depends on how it was used. Battery replacement is likely not as difficult or expensive as you fear but we would need the full model number to give any specific advice in that area.
