So my laptop is say plugged in but not charging what can i do to fix this issue?!

The battery could be short-circuited or deeply discharged and the BMS (battery management system) prevents a connection for safety reasons.

 

(1) HP Battery

 

HP spare part number:

824536-850
Battery (Primary) - 2-cell lithium-ion (Li-Ion), 4.96Ah, 37Wh (PO02037XL-PL)

 

Buy at HP Partsurfer:

https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=824536-850

 

(2) Service / Battery replacement

--->>> Maintenance and Service Guide

Page 34 Chapter 5 Removal and replacement procedures for authorized service provider parts

HP warranty valid -> Contact HP Support for service repair

 

HP warranty expired:

If you can't do that, you should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

 

Alternative:

Buy a good used or new notebook

(1) Download and install

HP Support Assistant (Microsoft Apps Store)

 

(2) Start <HP Support Assistant>

- Run <Battery Check>

- Click on <Show advanced information>

--->>> Send screenshot

its saying battery is not installed but i cant remove this battery without taking it apart!
