Black image for HP Wide Vision HD Camera

Hi,

  The webcamera image is black. When I use the Camera program, the LED next to the webcam lights up, but the displayed image is black.

I tried several operating systems. I reinstalled windows, but in vain.
I mention that I made all the privacy settings that allow applications to use the camera.
The camera worked, but after I updated the laptop firmware, it worked intermittently, and now it doesn't work at all.

What is the problem?

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. Follow the steps below to isolate the issue further-

 

Try updating the computer - 

 

Step 1 Windows Updates - 

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates. 

2) Check for updates. 

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates - 

1) In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant. 

2) Check for updates. 

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region for service options on your PC.
