HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bp111dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I bought the HP Envy x360 at the end of 2017 (September or October), so the warranty has ended.  Today I heard a click or crack.  I see that the hinge is pulling apart the body of the device, around the corner of the screen.  I picked this laptop because I thought it would be durable for simple desk usage, considering it was made to be flipped into a tablet when needed (I do not use it in that manner, I open and close the laptop as it sits on my desk, and that is the extent of mobility for this laptop).

After opening and closing the laptop, I can see that the body of the laptop is splitting apart at the hinge.  I asked on Twitter what my options were and they sent me here.  Can the laptop be fixed, or do I just have to buy a new one?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
