Hi,

I opened my laptop tonight and the hinge just kinda came out on just one side, seeing as my laptop just reached the year old mark  and has never been dropped or handled roughly, I'm very confused as to why this is happening

I don't know what exactly to do to go about getting repairs, or if this is even fixable, hence my post here

My warranty ended just yesterday ( lucky me ), so I am aware there isn't likely much that can be done at this point, but any advice and information is much appreciated

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand your HP laptop hinge is broken and to fix this issue your computer needs to be serviced, a
s we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Hello,

Thank you very much for replying and giving me some direction, upon looking there doesn't seem to be anywhere i can actually contact someone. Should I buy the Tech support and call there? I am just a bit confused as to where to look/contact, and when I went to find a service center near me it always says my search turned up with no results.

Again, any help is much appreciated!

Thank you for posting back.

If you are having trouble navigating via the contact HP options, generally it is because either your product is Out of Warranty or you are trying to get support beyond the business hours and our business hours falls between 8 am to 6 pm EST. We also have an option to contact us via Facebook and Twitter.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
