My webcam suddenly stops working. I have been using my webcam almost everyday and temporary stopped for about a month. During that time, I used the kill cam switch to disable my webcam. Now it seems to still be working because the light next to the webcam is light up but , even when I used the default camera app, all I can see is a black screen, when I clicked on take photo, it threw an error message. I tried everything from check the kill switch, updating the driver, uninstall and reinstall my camera and even reinstall window. Nothing seems to work and I am not sure what's the problem is and it worked before with this new window update. My laptop is fairly new, about 1 year so I hope nothing is wrong with the hardware. If anyone can give me a suggestion of how to fix it, it would be very helpful!
