About a year ago I started to notice that the trackpad on my laptop seemed to be more difficult to physically click and that the trackpad seemed to swell in the center. I believed that this might have been due to dust or other matter getting in underneath the trackpad.  After opening the laptop and cleaning it out the trackpad the problem appeared to be resolved, however, after putting the battery back into place the swelling of the trackpad and inability to click returned.  I then inspected the battery, which had areas of swelling that appeared to be pushing into the trackpad, likely causing the problem.  Since that time the battery has continued to swell and I can no longer click the trackpad at all and the lid of the laptop will not close completely due to the elevated trackpad.

I am curious if anyone knows where it might be possible to purchase an HP made replacement battery.

Thank you.
