@GalinkaP, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The HP OmniBook 7 Aero Ryzen AI 13 is a compact and modern laptop, and like many ultrabooks, it may not have a dedicated Insert key on the keyboard to save space.
Here's how you can use the Insert function:
Option 1: Use a Key Combination
On many HP laptops, the Insert function is combined with another key. Try the following:
- Press Fn + E or Fn + Insert-equivalent key (if labeled).
- If your keyboard has a 0 (zero) key on the numeric keypad, try Shift + 0 or Fn + 0.
If you're unsure, you can also check your keyboard layout in the Maintenance and Service Guide for your model: HP OmniBook 7 Aero 13 - Manuals & Guides
Option 2: Use On-Screen Keyboard
If you need the Insert key occasionally:
- Press Windows + Ctrl + O to open the On-Screen Keyboard.
- Look for the Insert key there and click it.
Option 3: Remap a Key
You can remap an unused key (like Caps Lock or Right Alt) to act as Insert using Microsoft PowerToys:
- Download PowerToys from the Microsoft Store.
- Open Keyboard Manager > Remap a key.
- Choose a key to remap and assign it to Insert.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
